The Mystery of the Changing Bite
Presented by: Dr. Dania Tamimi
March 10, 2023 | 9:00 a.m. – Noon
Sacramento, CA | Capitol Plaza Halls
Orthodontists will often see patients in their practice that come with the chief complaint that their bite is changing, sometimes following dental treatment. There are many possible scenarios for this occurrence, with the etiology usually being structures distant to the teeth. This lecture will discuss these etiologies (TMJ, airway, skull base and other factors) and show the clinician how use cone-beam CT to evaluate for risk factors for future bite changes radiographically. Diagnosis of these conditions is important for the long term success of dental treatment, whether it is restorative, orthodontic or prosthodontic.
