Dr. Damon Szymanowski, affectionately representing “Sactown”, brings energy, innovation, and a deep sense of purpose to the orthodontic profession. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s orthodontic residency program, Dr. Szymanowski has built a thriving practice in Sacramento—where science, artistry, and community intersect.
For Dr. Szymanowski, orthodontics is the perfect blend of passions. “It felt like the perfect fit,” he shares. “It blends science with artistry and has the ability to make a lasting impact. I’ve always enjoyed working with kids, and helping patients of all ages gain confidence in their smiles is incredibly rewarding.”
But beyond patient care, Dr. Szymanowski has a strong drive to give back. Through his work with the California Association of Orthodontists, he’s found a platform to advocate for the future of the field. “Being part of the CAO allows me to give back to a profession that has given so much to me,” he explains. “It’s about staying connected with like-minded colleagues, contributing to the advancement of orthodontics in California, and shaping the future through advocacy, mentorship, and professional growth.”
When he’s not perfecting smiles, Dr. Szymanowski channels his creative energy into a surprising side passion: branding and marketing. “If I weren’t an orthodontist, I’d probably be a marketing executive,” he laughs. “I have a not-so-secret obsession with branding, slogans, and swag.”
