Advocacy Overview

CAO takes an active role in advocating for our members and their patients before the California State Legislature, the Governor of California, Administrative Agencies, and the California Dental Board. These entities make decisions that directly impact the practice of orthodontics and the health and safety of orthodontic patients. Additionally, the California Legislature makes laws governing all areas of our lives, including decisions related to the operations of small businesses like orthodontic practices. CAO ensures the orthodontist and patient perspective are considered in areas that impact our stakeholders.
